Letters to Friends: What I Wish I Could Say

 To my friends,

Thank you for being patient with me, even when I withdrew or seemed distant. Thank you for checking in, listening, and not judging me for my struggles. Some days I felt ashamed, but your kindness reminded me I wasn’t alone.

I wish I could tell you how much your support matters — that every text, every smile, every invite means more than I can express. I hope you know that recovery is a process, and that sometimes I still need space, but that doesn’t mean I don’t value you.

You’ve helped me see that friendships can be safe, nurturing, and full of understanding. And for that, I am endlessly grateful.
