A Message to Parents & Teachers

If you’re an adult reading this, I want to tell you something important: teens may stay silent, but that doesn’t mean they’re okay. Eating disorders often hide behind good grades, smiles, or “I’m fine.” When I was struggling, I needed adults to notice the things I couldn’t say out loud.

Please listen gently. Please ask questions without judging. Please believe us when we say we’re struggling even if we look “normal” on the outside. And most of all, please create safe spaces where kids can be honest. You can make the difference between hurting alone and reaching for help.
